Dear Friends, November 30 is the blessed feast day of St. Andrew the Apostle. Below is a bit of info about Andrew's life and ministry as well as a special prayer. I've also attached some photo's (of our beloved church and a couple other pics).

A native of Bethsaida in Galilee, a fisherman by trade, and a former disciple of John the Baptist, Andrew was the one who introduced his brother Peter to Jesus, saying, "We have found the Messiah." Overshadowed by his brother, Andrew nevertheless appears again in the Gospels as introducing folks to Christ. In St. John 12:22, he goes with St. Philip to tell Jesus that a group of Gentiles who wish to speak with Him.
After Pentecost, Andrew took up the apostolate on a much wider scale, and is said to have been martyred at Patras in southern Greece on a cross which was in the form of an "X". This type of cross has long been known as "St. Andrew's cross"

O Lord, we humbly implore Your divine majesty to give us for our perpetual intercessor in heaven the blessed apostle Andrew, who was so outstanding a preacher and leader in Your Church. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen
