This Wednesday, September 30th, is Orange Shirt Day, when we remember and pray for all whose lives were adversely affected by Residential Schools. For more information see www.orangeshirtday.org
There are a great deal of stories that the Residential School has left in its wake, and most are not pleasant. The problem we have today is not many people know about what it was like.

If you are coming to church on Wednesday we invite you to wear something orange!

We will also be resuming our "Thanks Hat" tradition at St. John the Divine beginning next Sunday the first Sunday in October. All will be invited to drop any loose change in the hat as they leave the church as a thanks offering for their own blessings. At the end of October all proceeds will be donated to the Wachiay Friendship Centre.
