This past week it was announced by the Provincial Health Officer that a slow reopening of places of worship may soon be permitted, depending on continued improvement in the Covid-19 situation in BC. Many may be wondering when and how this will happen.
The Very Rev. Ansley Tucker reaffirms the priority of health and safety for all and confirms our churches will remain closed "for a while yet" pending the development of protocols for reopening. She mentions that a target date will be named when it is hoped all will be able to meet the guidelines and move forward together on a similar timeline.
This coming week your Parish Council is meeting and will review some draft guidelines of our own which include the precautions and changes to our normal patterns we think will need to be observed when we do reopen. We will incorporate any additional requirements from the diocese but, in the meantime, until we receive further notice, we will continue to conduct all our services and programs online.
Thank you for your patience and steadfastness in faith.
Happy Victoria Day weekend everyone! Alan
