Alastair was called to St. John’s in the fall of 2020 after serving communities on Northern Vancouver Island (Port Hardy, Port Alice, Fort Rupert and Quatsino) in shared ministry (Anglican &. United Church). He was ordained in 2016 by Bishop Logan McMenamie after attending the Vancouver School of Theology, where he earned a Master of Divinity. Prior to that he earned a Bachelor of Religious Education from Tyndale University College in Toronto. He comes to St. John's with a background in front-line street outreach work, housing support and chaplaincy. He's a diehard supporter of West Bromwich Albion F.C. (the Baggies), enjoys live music, hiking and exploring the awesome beauty of these Islands and Inlets.
